Maude Bass-Krueger

Maude Bass-Krueger is professor at the Art History, Musicology and Theatre Studies department at Ghent University whose research focuses on fashion history and fashion curation.  She is the co-founder of two national fashion studies research groups: Revers, established at Ghent University in 2021, and Culture(s) de Mode, established in 2017, in Paris. Since joining Ghent University in January 2020, she has worked towards creating a thriving environment for fashion history, fashion theory, and fashion studies in Belgium. The project “Fashioning Belgium, 1830-1980” is an ongoing research project with her Master’s students that aligns with a FED-tWIN collaborative grant with the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels.
